About Patrick S. Hallinan

Attorney Hallinan got his start as a social activist. He was a leader in the free speech movement and directed the West Coast Mobilization against the war in Vietnam, carrying his ardent support for social justice into his more than 40-year career as a criminal defense attorney. He's currently retired, but founded the firm and helped build it into the thriving practice that it is today.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Hallinan represented numerous clients, including notable public figures like author Ken Kesey and Black Panther leader Eldridge Cleaver.

He was named Attorney of the Year by the San Francisco Examiner and Attorney of the Year by California Attorneys for Criminal Justice and by the Drug Policy Commission of Washington, D.C.

About Kenneth H. Wine Kenneth Wine

Kenneth H. Wine obtained his J.D. from the Ohio State University in 1989 and has worked extensively trying civil and criminal cases.

In 2000, attorney Wine was appointed by the U.S. District Court in California to represent indigent criminal defendants, a service he still performs to this day.

He has authored notable articles, including, "Latin America and Self-Determination," which won awards at an international writing fellowship in Cartagena, Colombia.

His impressive body of work earned him a spot on the prestigious list of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in California maintained by the National Trial Lawyers. Additionally, attorney Wine is currently the co-chair of the Mental Health Committee for the National Organization of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Mr. Wine believes that his most interesting project was being named by the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Criminal Defense Panel of the International War Crimes Tribunal in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
